About Spike
Spike Lee, Tisch School of the Arts 1982, is an Academy Award winning filmmaker whose work has shaped American cinema for more than four decades. Through films such as Do the Right Thing, Malcolm X and BlacKkKlansman, he has made race, politics, music and New York life central to mainstream film conversation. Lee is also a tenured professor at Tisch and founder of 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks. His profile should connect creative authorship, public voice and direct service to NYU students.
