Last night (March 26, 2012) marked another successful year for the Ashok C. Sani Distinguished Scholar in Residence Lecture, featuring
New York Times columnist
Nicholas Kristof. From the point when Kristof took the mic, he captivated the audience with poignant stories from his career as a journalist. By the lecture's end, Kristof had given the audience a new level of respect for and understanding of the hardships that are often experienced in developing countries. And in his own words, he reminded us that we are all winners of the "lottery of life," simply by being there--in the audience, and in this country.
We would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Nicholas Kristof, and to the Sani family for giving us the opportunity to host such a wonderful event.
