Terence Winter (WSC ’84) and Martin Scorsese (WSC ’64, Steinhardt ’68, HON ’92)

Terence Winter, Emmy Award winning writer of The Sopranos, and Martin Scorsese, Academy Award winning director, have teamed up for a new television series on HBO called Boardwalk Empire. The show is based on the book, Boardwalk Empire: The Birth, High Times and Corruption of Atlantic City by Nelson Johnson and it deals with life in Atlantic City, NJ during the Prohibition era. It will star Steve Buscemi and Michael Kenneth Williams from The Wire. Stay tuned for the series premiere this fall.
